Giving Your Children Confidence Through Theatre
Teaching Performing Arts allows our students to develop creative passions, it simultaneously teaches them language and communication skills and helps them to communicate effectively with others with confidence. Performing Arts is all about self expression, exploring alternative options and embracing individuality.
Giving your child the opportunity to take part in Performing Arts will also help them to:

* Support their social skills

Dance Skill Improvement
All students are given the opportunity to enhance their movement skills – Amelia teaches both the Junior and Senior groups and also the school as a whole. Those students who show a flare are encouraged by being part of the Dance Troupe in our end of year show.
Live Performance Opportunities
Each term we perform a show case for family and friends and this is done in a local hall – it is always a great night as we encourage the Seniors to be creative and choose pieces themselves. it is important to give them ownership over what they perform.
At the end of the Summer Term we perform our end of year show – everyone participates and we always have two teams. In this way we can give as many students as possible parts in the production and they can be part of the chorus which is a very important job!
Annually those students who wish to undertake Acting, Musical Theatre or Group performance exams are given the opportunity.
Exams
London College of Music Exams.
Established in 1887, the London College of Music Examinations (LCME) is one of the longest-established exam boards for the creative arts in the UK and the only one that is part of a leading British university, the University of West London.
We have a private centre and undertake exams in Musical Theatre, Acting and Group Performance. Exams are held each December, March and July.
Acting
There are eight LCM Acting grades and three diplomas.
The standard graded exams consist of a performance, sight reading, a discussion and a portfolio or folder of work.
Candidates must perform at least one piece from the relevant handbook or the additional performance pieces using the link below.
There are three step Grades that our younger students can undertake in order to prepare them for the Graded exams.
Music Theatre
There are eight LCM Music Theatre grades, plus two introductory levels, four performance diplomas and three teaching diplomas.
The standard graded exams consist of a performance of two to four pieces and a discussion. At Grade 8 candidates will also have to read at sight one part of a dialogue from a libretto.
Group Performance
There are four LCM Group Performance exams (Entry, Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced).
The exams consist of a performance and a discussion.

West End Workshop with Arran Anzani
Arran was in the original cast of Disneys Aladdin in London’s West End 🎭
He has choreographed the brand new British musical, Kin & choreographs around the country for production companies all year.
He is the head Jazz teacher at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
Arran is also principal of Anzani Republic, stage school & management company for young performers.
